Osram announced recall 55,000pcs LED Tube

Due to the presence of overheat, melt or burn possible risks, about 55,000 Osram LED fluorescent tube being an emergency recall.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on Tuesday announced that photovoltaic manufacturer OSRAM (Osram Sylvania) has received 34 reports from customers, complaints OSRAM LED lamps overheating or melting problems. There are currently no reports of casualties.

The recalled product is SubstiTUBE IS T8 LED lamp, model 73312-1 or 73315-1. The lamp is white, length 48 inches. In December 2014 to May 2015 it was sold. Only sold about 46,300 and 8,700 in the United States and Canada only.
