A lot of people asked me, Why led task lighting are not universal in China? The reasons are very complicated.
1. Price. As we all know, the cost of LED products are very high, it makes the price of LED Products are also much higher than the consumers could accept. Normally, Chinese only focus on the prices, never think of the energy saving. Now, if you use led products from good suppliers, like Eneltec (as we all know the top LED High Bay factory), you could use 7W led to replace 40W Incandescent bulbs, also, you could use 5W led to replace 26W CFL. The future market of led task lighting should not be only in big cities, but also the towns, villages. If we want millions of people buy the led products, firstly, you should make billions of people who know about the led products.
2. Environmental protection. The western countries buy a lot of LED products, why? Just because they are rich? NO. The most important reason is that, they have the concept of Environmental protection in their mind. If everybody in China really understand the importance of Environmental protection, the led products could be sold well in China.
3. Technology. Based on the technology now, led could output about 100lm/w. It’s still not high enough to replace all the traditional lightings.
If the led task lighting could output 200-250lu/w, the total cost of led products would be 50% off, at that time, the led would be universal in everywhere, even in China.
