Currently, the development of LED light is maturing and the market for LED bulb is growing. In order to avoid some of the manufacturers of LED lights making low quality products to pass away the sham as the genuine, the Ministry of Industry Announcements collected “LED bulb performance requirements.” According to the R & D experience, the following requirements for the performance of LED bulb should be achieved.

1, security: The security of LED bulb should be put on the first place to consider. The current LED bulb is commonly using aluminum metal case, which is most likely to come into contact with the user’s part, but the metal is easily conductive, therefore there is potential security risk of electrical shock in using LED bulb with aluminum metal case. It is better to make certain requirements on insulation for the heat sink of LED light, such as using ceramic, plastic and other insulating material to ensure absolute safety.

2, the life requirements: one feature of LED lamp is long lifespan, but some LED manufacturers do not use normative material because of price competition or limited profession. Thus LED bulb made in this way could not meet the standard because the thermal design and the driving circuit design are not in place. This recessive badness would cause damage to consumers’ rights and interests. Therefore, there should have a reasonable restriction on the service life of LED lights, such as L70> 25000 hours.

3, the optical performance requirements: Some LED bulb manufacturers improve the LED light flux with low color, making the color performance lower than energy-saving lamps, which is unreasonable. Therefore, LED manufacturers recommend standardizing the light color and CRI, such as LED bulb used in home and commercial space should be Ra> 80. In addition, the various color range should be defined so that to define the scope of white light and neutral light.
