Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs said today that the lighting in Taiwan accounted for 10.9 percent of Taiwan’s total electricity consumption , energy saving bulbs, incandescent and halogen lamps If full use of Taiwan’s industrial and service sectors , replace the LED lamps, the estimated annual saving 12.28 billion kWh , nuclear power plants for the last three generating capacity by 3%.
Energy Board noted that last year, about 26.7 billion Taiwan Lighting degrees , accounting for 10.9% of the total electricity in Taiwan , where the lighting industry and services accounted for Liu Cheng, general household lighting and outdoor lighting accounted for 40% and more for the off-peak electricity. Energy Board believes that the promotion of industrial and service sectors Lighting LED replacement lamps, before saving and reduce peak load received double effect .
Lighting currently on the market , including fluorescent tubes , energy saving bulbs, incandescent , halogen lamps, mercury lamps , metal halide lamps , high pressure sodium lamps and LED lamps and other categories, Energy Bureau, considering the level of luminous efficiency , economy and security, stage energy saving bulbs with LED lamps to replace incandescent and halogen lamps are more feasible.
By Energy Agency estimate , industry and services and more electricity for lighting during peak periods ( daily from 10:00 to 15:00 ) , if the whole of Taiwan’s industrial and service sectors use energy saving bulbs, incandescent and halogen lamps , comprehensive replaced with LED lamps , estimated annual saving 1,228,000,000 degrees, three nuclear power plants for the amount of 3% of the total generating 41.6 billion degrees .
