On the evening of January 19, reporters visited Zhengyuan Farm in Yongning Town, Shishi City, Quanzhou, Fujian Province. Rows of greenhouses glowed with soft purple light, quiet and dreamy in the dusk.

According to the person in charge of the farm, this is a modern agricultural plant factory. It uses high-tech means to conduct all-round, high-precision intelligent control over the plant growth environment, including light, temperature, humidity and nutrient solution, establishing a highly intensive agricultural production system that enables continuous, efficient and stable crop production.
Currently, the greenhouses mainly grow Beibei pumpkins and tomatoes. The farm has introduced more than 1,000 LED plant growth lights, which simulate the specific spectrum in sunlight that benefits photosynthesis through artificial light sources. They supplement energy for crop growth and promote development, flowering and fruiting. Such growth lights are especially suitable for environments with insufficient light or critical growth stages, effectively improving the yield and quality of agricultural products.
The application of LED plant growth lights in Shishi farm greenhouses marks that traditional agriculture is gradually shifting from “depending on nature” to “smart manufacturing with technology”. This is not only an innovation in agricultural production methods, but also provides new solutions to challenges such as food security and resource constraints.
