With the global moratorium of incandescent lamps one after the other, the voice of LED tide is gathering up. Since 2013, an important trend of the global lighting market is with the rapid price declining of alternative lighting product, it bringing a global replacing tide with the LED lighting products.
In China, the world’s great powers of LED applications, starting in 2012, the state issued the “phasing out incandescent roadmap” decision from October 1, 2012 to gradually ban the import and sale of ordinary incandescent lighting. Into 2013 , the Chinese government further support for the LED industry , the State Council ” on accelerating the development of energy-saving environmental protection industry view” and six ministries, ” semiconductor lighting energy industry plan” were introduced, clear LED lighting an important role in energy conservation in . In addition, the Chinese government is working through subsidies, play an active role to promote the development of LED lighting industry.
In European markets, from 2014 onwards, European countries began phasing out the largest amount of 40-60W incandescent bulbs in the civilian market, which provides a favorable opportunity for the popularity of LED lighting products. It will also stimulate the global LED lighting manufacturers to accelerate the pace of LED lighting layout, further pushing up the global LED lighting penetration. U.S. government efforts to support LED lighting is gradually increasing, and so the number of subsidized Energy Star lighting is growing rapidly, prompting a further reduction of price of LED lamps. CREE and other manufacturers are optimistic about 2014 LED lighting market and anticipating that the sales growth of replacement lamps are expected to become the growth priorities of next business. In Europe, the market is relatively mature, although it did not see massive subsidies, the high price of electricity cost and the difference in light culture make commercial lighting and outdoor architectural lighting applications have persistent situational demands. With the policy of a total ban on incandescent light bulbs fermentation in the next few years, it is estimated that the market will continue to show steady growth.
