During the Lunar New Year, the New District (Changle District) of Fuzhou City was filled with a festive and peaceful atmosphere. Along the banks of Dongjiang Lake (south of Lanyuan Garden), the Dongjiang Lake Fantasy Interactive Light Show was a dazzling spectacle, attracting a large number of citizens and tourists, becoming a popular nighttime attraction during the Spring Festival.

This light show features an immersive, interactive, and narrative style, with three carefully crafted themed walkways: Bubble Rainforest, Snow Island Wonderland, and Fujian Light Traces.
The show culminated in the central show, “Awakening: The Return of the Sea,” presented on a circular bridge. The entire performance progressed layer by layer, with changing scenes at every turn.
Walking through the show, the lights, water mist, music, and landscapes blended seamlessly, creating a romantic and dreamlike atmosphere interwoven with a sense of technology, allowing citizens and tourists to experience the beauty of ever-changing light and shadow.
The light show, rooted in the “born of the sea, sailing towards dreams” urban DNA of Fuzhou New Area (Changle District), uses light and shadow as its brush and the night sky as its canvas to tell a story of Maritime Silk Road sentiment, homesickness, and urban memories. Through modern light and shadow art, it vividly interprets the spirit of Changle people-daring to venture far and wide while remaining devoted to their homeland-showcasing the city’s vibrant development while also conveying New Year’s wishes for those returning home and families reuniting.
Under the night sky, the lakeside was bustling with people, filled with laughter and joy. Citizens brought their families and friends, taking photos amidst the dazzling lights and shadows, experiencing the rich festive atmosphere and unique urban cultural charm. Everyone expressed that the light show was both visually appealing and meaningful, illuminating the city’s nightscape and warming the Spring Festival, making it the most unforgettable audio-visual experience of the holiday.
