In order to implement the experience of the “10 million project”, Yechuan Town, Gaoping City, Jincheng, Shanxi Province anchored the goal of rural revitalization, focused on the actual needs of the masses, and took road lighting as an important breakthrough to improve the rural living environment. We will fully promote the lighting project construction of the section of the coal transportation channel from Nanyang Village to Liushudi Village, and gather new momentum for rural development with lights.
As the main artery of regional coal transportation, the coal transportation channel carries a large number of vehicles on a daily basis, and it is also the only way for villagers along the line to live and work. However, for a long time, due to the lack of lighting facilities, the road was dim at night, posing a great safety hazard. In order to ensure the safety of the masses’ travel, the town party committee and government actively planned and carefully organized, arranged professional and technical personnel to conduct on-site surveys on street lamp layout, foundation construction, and pole spacing, and coordinated the construction units to standardize the construction. After intensive and orderly operations, more than 100 street lamps along the line were all installed and debugged and put into use.
Nowadays, whenever night falls, neatly arranged street lights light up one after another, covering the coal transportation channel with a “bright coat”, which not only greatly improves the safety level of nighttime transportation and effectively reduces the incidence of traffic accidents, but also provides convenience and guarantee for villagers along the line to travel at night. At the same time, it also significantly improves the nighttime landscape of the village, becoming an important window to showcase the achievements of rural revitalization.
In the next step, Yechuan Town will continue to deepen the experience of the “Ten Million Project”, consolidate the results of lighting, establish and improve a long-term mechanism for street lamp management and maintenance, and ensure the stable operation of lighting facilities by implementing measures such as dedicated personnel and regular inspections and maintenance. At the same time, the town will promote the improvement of road lighting in the whole town from point to surface, gradually extend coverage to more rural roads, and continuously improve rural infrastructure, so that the rural night view will be brighter and travel will be safer, injecting lasting momentum into the comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization.
