In order to accelerate the process of urban digitalization, improve management efficiency and residents’ quality of life, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Pishan County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, officially launched a new smart digital construction project. The project focuses on the transformation of smart street lights, with a total investment of 10.5 million yuan. It is planned to be completed before June 15. It will promote the modernization of urban governance through technological empowerment and create a new benchmark for efficient and intelligent smart cities.
It is reported that the project plans to implement online monitoring and transformation of 4,600 street lights in Pishan County, and to carry out intelligent transformation of 700 old street lights. The upgraded smart street lights not only greatly improve the brightness and uniformity of lighting, but also integrate multiple intelligent functions such as environmental monitoring, energy-saving control, and remote operation and maintenance. Through technologies such as adaptive dimming and time zone management, energy consumption can be reduced to achieve green and low-carbon goals.
The project simultaneously builds a street light intelligent control system to form a key node in the urban IoT perception network. The system can collect the operating status, energy consumption data and fault information of each street lamp in real time, and conduct intelligent analysis through the big data platform. Managers can remotely control lighting strategies, locate fault points in time, and upgrade the traditional “manual inspection” mode to “minute-level response” precise operation and maintenance, comprehensively improving the digital management level of Pishan County.
