Since the beginning of this year, Mibei Village in Mihe Town, Gongyi City, Zhengzhou, has focused on improving infrastructure and enhancing residents’ happiness index as key objectives. Implementing a road lighting project, the village has installed nearly 300 street lights, using practical actions to illuminate villagers’ travel routes and elevate the charm of a harmonious and beautiful countryside.
At the installation site along the main road of Mibei Village, workers were busily assembling light poles and testing equipment in an orderly manner… a scene of bustling activity.
To thoroughly implement the requirements for building a harmonious and beautiful countryside, Mibei Village has adhered to the principle of prioritizing people’s livelihoods. While carrying out the road asphalt paving project, the village simultaneously promoted the upgrading and standardization of infrastructure. The village’s three committees organized officials to conduct field research, accurately assessing the actual needs for road lighting through household visits and on-site surveys. They systematically optimized key sections with high pedestrian and vehicle density, incorporating the upgrade of lighting facilities into the overall road renovation plan. This effectively enhanced nighttime travel safety and living convenience, striving to create a livable and business-friendly rural environment. Through communication and coordination with higher-level departments, they scientifically and rationally determined the routes, locations, and spacing for the street light installation. Simultaneously, they supervised the entire process of on-site installation and debugging to ensure the project was completed with guaranteed quality and quantity. Currently, 210 out of the nearly 300 street lights have been installed, with the remaining lights being expedited. Upon completion, the project will benefit 1,273 households.

The travel and living conditions for the masses have been significantly improved, depicting a ‘new level of charm’ for a harmonious and beautiful countryside.”
