Recently, the streetlights previously installed in Tianshan Village, Yushan Street, Pingyin County, Jinan City, had deteriorated due to age and exposure to wind and rain. Some streetlights were damaged and unable to provide normal illumination, while others had significantly reduced brightness, making the village roads dark and gloomy at night. This not only posed a significant safety hazard to villagers but also caused considerable inconvenience, especially for the elderly and children. To effectively address this crucial issue affecting the lives of the villagers, the Tianshan Village Committee actively listened to the concerns of the residents and widely solicited opinions from Party members and village representatives. Ultimately, it was decided that the village collective would fund the replacement of all the damaged streetlights with solar-powered streetlights. After the plan was finalized, the village collective invested over 17,500 yuan to purchase 25 solar-powered lamps and immediately organized construction workers to reinstall the new solar-powered streetlights on the original streetlight poles.
The newly installed streetlights not only illuminated the villagers’ way home but also warmed their hearts. Next, Tianshan Village will continue to focus on people’s livelihood needs, strive to solve problems, do good things, and do practical things for villagers, and effectively enhance their sense of gain, happiness, and security.
