Looing back to the past of 2011, the LED industry can be described as weird smells, the small and medium sized enterprises were difficult to move, the products were mixed, companies had flocked listed, the western industrial as a new force suddenly rises. Looking to 2012, the LED industry insiders still looking further to supply high power led street light in LED lighting market.
In 2011, the state of development of the LED device market performance in different areas of application are keeping the same. On the aspect of TV, the display backlight and LED display by the global economic impact of demand show a obvious decline. In general lighting, althought there is no explosive growth, overall, it still shows a growing tendency although it has a little gap between magnitude and speed of the expectations. Take street light as an example, compared 2011 with 2010, the installation of LED street lamp has increased 30% estimately. Looking forward to 2012, as for general LED application field, with the steadly ingrading of light quality and effect, deduction of system cost and the implementation of encourageing policies, the situation should not be a big change and appear an increasing trend of supplying high power led street light.
As for Chinese market in recent years, LED terms are frequently mentioned. With the increase pressure of energy conservation, China government stepped up efforts to support LED high bay. It goes without saying that China and Asia in the future will be the LED industry especially the huge market of LED lighting. But compared with developed country, China LED industry is still in its infancy. It needs not only government’s support, but also some positive policies.
