In 2018, the competition in the LED lighting market intensified. Some upstream raw material prices continued to rise. In the second half of the year, due to the overall economic downturn, the lighting market demand was weak. At the same time, the domestic LED chip sector had overcapacity. Most manufacturers reduced capacity utilization, chip prices fell, and packaged products. The price has also been pulled down.
In downstream lighting applications, especially general lighting products, the price decline is still a general trend, but the decline is slowing down.
