On October 29, Nichia Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. announced that it will cooperate with Dutch agricultural solutions provider Qwest land International to conduct research and experiments to further develop the LED horticultural lighting market.
Qwest land International is at the forefront of greenhouse development and has accumulated environmental knowledge to control plant growth. Nichia hopes to benefit from this knowledge base by working with it.
In addition, Nichia plans to use its core-competitive phosphor technology to develop a unique spectrum that hopes to provide new sustainable lighting for crop cultivation to improve global nutrition.
