Osram in June 2015 approved the divestiture of its LED lighting division. OSRAM has now decided to release the LED lighting business re-established a company named “Ledvance”, “We have chosen the term” LED “and” advance “as the company’s newly established name.” President of the Long Board Osram (CEO) Olaf Berlien said, “the name reflects the trend to bring LED lighting market and this development opportunity –Ledvance will actively take advantage of these opportunities.”
Osram represented, Ledvance portfolio includes standardized consumption lighting, traditional lighting, modern LED lights. The new service will also provide solutions for intelligent buildings, smart lighting and home connections. Ledvance would be directed by JesMunk Hansn (47 years old). JesMunkHansen previously served as president of the Americas region OSRAM post and served as Osram lighting business leader in 2015. It is reported that, JesMunk Hansen since 2013 entering Osram, Osram has been leading the business to complete the transformation and upgrading of the Americas.
“The international and experienced, energetic management team together, I look forward to leading Ledvance associated with our more than 10,000 skilled and dedicated staff, create a success continues into the future.” Hansen said, “I saw very good development opportunities, particularly in the field of standardized OTC lamps have a good chance. ”
Osram noted, Ledvance today in a good position. Osram also noted, Ledvance future can still use the product Osram (Osram) and Sylvania (Sylvania) brand.
