In the the numerous green light applications, LED relative to other light source solutions more energy-efficient, easy to the assembly design a light source technology, which in lighting source applications, high-power white LED compared with the most frequent light-emitting components, butthe white LED luminous efficiency, single power performance has R & D progress actually white LED luminous uniformity, packaging material life still exists, especially in the application of the chip cooling limit is the development of the LED light led bulbs source applications first and foremost must beimprove the problem …

High power white LED used in the day-to-day lighting purposes, in fact, received increasing attention in the green light, has become the first choice of the development of environmentally friendly light source. But in fact the white LED are still many technical bottlenecks to be overcome, there are related improvement program to strengthen the focus on features and performance of white LED luminous uniformity, the life of the packaging material, heat strengthening all aspects of design bottleneck improvement.

The green light increased demand for high-power white LED applications led bulbs qualify

LED Panel Light source to be the main cause of all ages, is nothing more than the product of long life, light – high power conversion efficiency, material properties can be fitted in any plane. In the development of the day-to-day lighting source, due to the need to achieve practical lighting needs, the original to indicate that the use of LED lighting applications will not be able to correspond directly from the chip, package, carrier board, production technology and an external circuit must be strengthened, in order to achieve the high power required for lighting purposes, high brightness lighting utility.

Observed on the level of market demand for white LED lighting applications market development, it can be said future higher dosage of the project, but to use utility, white LED lighting applications must focus on functional improvement. One is to strengthen for the LED chip led bulbs, e.g., to increase their optical – electrical conversion efficiency, or to increase the chip area, to allow a single LED light emission amount (flux) reaches its design limit. Second, is a compromise design program, the more difficult to continue to increase the area of monolithic LED chip under the premise switch to multi-chip LED chip is packaged in a light source module, but also the practical technical solutions can be achieved close to the aforementioned method .

LED bulbs will become cheaper than traditional filament bulbs?

With the rapid development of LED lights and continuous dropping of cost, prices for LED lights kept on reducing as well. Do you know how to choose the most suitable LED lighting products for your living places?

With the rapid development of LED lights and continuous dropping of cost, prices for LED lights kept on reducing as well.

With the enhancement of environmental protection awareness and the increase of living standard, more and more consumers are inclined to buy green and health-harmless products. In the lighting area, they would like to prefer more energy-saving and healthier lighting products. As if to respond the requests of customers, LED technology was developed during this period of time. LED lighting products can save more energy, have higher lighting efficiencies and longer service lives, the wide spreading of which has become a trend. This new born technology has many disadvantages, either. The expensive selling prices of indoors LED lighting products (such as LED bulbs) made them hardly be accepted by ordinary people. However, things are moving into the right direction. With the constant increase of production and continuous decrease of cost, experts estimated that by 2015, production cost of LED bulbs will drop to around 1.5USD.

Unlike traditional filament bulbs, LED bulbs are constituted by LED chip modules, LED components, cooling sections, metal covers, etc.. It is rather difficult to restrict the budget under a reasonable level. Currently, the cost ratio of these three main parts is about 1:1:1. It is expected that by 2015, the costs of LED products will be reduced to 1/5.

Currently, the average selling price for first-line brand LED bulbs (like Phillips, OSRAM) is about 90 yuan, while the average price for three-line bulbs is around 40 yuan. Compare with first-line energy-saving lamps on the market, which normally costs 10 yuan, LED bulbs are far more expensive. During the interview, some customers expressed their desire to replace filament bulbs with LED lamps. If the price can be drop to the current energy-saving lamps’ level, there will be no need to take any more considerations.

LEDs’ light emitting principles and internal structures determined that they can be made in alternative modes, like dimmable, RBG, or even intelligent. Designers indicated that dimmable LED bulbs can automatically adjust the color and brightness of light, which cannot be realized by any other traditional lamps. In additional, LED lamps with embedded CU also provide users a wireless remote control.

LED bulbs will become the main stream in Japan’s LED lighting market

GFK Marketing Service Japan published a research report for LED lights sold in appliance stores in Japan last month. The result indicated that the sale of LED bulbs is around 43.5% in June this year, completely overtaking the No. 1 position of traditional filament lamps and becoming the main stream on the Japan’s LED lighting market. Meanwhile, the monthly sale of LED Ceiling Lights has taken over the traditional ceiling lamps in the form of fluorescent tubes. After the earthquake in East Japan last year, people’s energy-saving consciousness has been strengthened dramatically. This is one of the main reason for the increasingly popularity of LED lighting products in Japan. Changes are primarily showing up the stable growth of LED sales.

GFK Marketing Service Japan published a research report for LED lamps sold in appliance stores in Japan last month.

Among all LED sales, LED bulbs took the best performance. In 2010, annual turnover of LED bulbs is only 20%, much less than 50% of filament lamps. After the East Japan Earthquake happened on 11th March 2011, the proportion of LED bulbs’ sales raised rapidly, while the sales of filament lamps dropped a lot. On May 2012, LED bulbs took over the No.1 position of filament lamps and became the best selling products among bulbs. This tendency was expected to be maintained until 2014. GFK Marketing Service Japan believed that under such circumstance, LED lighting products will not drop prices in short term. This market will remain an upswing trend until next year.

Same situations for LED ceiling lights, according to reports published on June 2011, LED ceiling lights shared about 15.8% ceiling lights market in Japan. This sale was increased to 42.7% on May 2012. During this period of time, the involvement of Panasonic in this area no doubt played a very important role. Since Panasonic involved in LED lighting field in 2011, the product line has been expanded. Thus in 2012, the sales of LED ceiling lights increased dramatically. The average price of LED ceiling lamps is about 38,000 yen, slipping down 9% compare with the beginning of the year. Diammable or RBG LED ceiling lights emerged in the market recently. These products are more “intelligent” and can change depending on the specific request of customers. GFK Marketing Service Japan believed that these factors are pushing users to redeem the LED ceiling.
