Although China’s LED industry develops fast, there is great difference between the technical level and international advanced level, cause it lack technology and cheap products, small industrialization dimensions slants, and lack competitive capacity. High performance LED and power products are dependent on imports, therefore, how to accelerate the development of the led lights industry, the following three suggestions:
First, the government should increase strength, enhance the adjusting control ability. On one hand, it should focus on supporting the national semiconductor lighting and the dispersed repetitive research , also the institutions should carry out integrated adjustment, the real support of independent intellectual property of the technology, innovation projects and research and development; on the other hand, the government should guide this project and the method of macroscopical adjusting control. It’s the key to give integration, merger, joint venture, centralized resources and the expansion of the industry scale, so that enterprises will enjoy international competition ability. This can draw lessons from Korea and China’s Taiwan area experience.
Second, we should strengthen the basic research, the development of LED technology. In the LED extension, chip manufacturing, should focus on the improvement of luminescence quantum efficiency and external quantum efficiency, improve product performance, stability, reliability and consistency, improve the rate of finished products, must have the innovation achievement of independent intellectual property rights and core technology. In the packaging field, we should strengthen the white LED Panel Light and power LED packaging technology research and development, mainly its to improve the output efficiency of light, light uniformity, consistency, improve the package structure and the heat radiating performance, reduce the thermal resistance of substrate, improve light-alltenuation proof capability and reliability. In the field of supporting LED, we should strengthen the main raw materials, parts and manufacturing led lights based on key equipment, development, mainly refers to the substrate, an organic source, epoxy resin, silica gel, phosphor, driving circuit and MOCVD ( metal organic chemical vapor deposition equipment etc.)
