The reporter learned from the Yinchuan City Street Light Management Office of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region that Yinchuan City has started the urban road lighting energy-saving renovation work. The 45,000-inch high-pressure sodium lamps on about 350 roads will be replaced with LED lighting fixtures. It is expected to be replaced before the Spring Festival next year. It is understood that this replacement uses LED lamps with independent intellectual property rights in China, with good energy saving effect, high color rendering, and long service life. It is estimated that after the completion of the project transformation, the annual electricity consumption will reach 36.3 million kWh. Compared with the traditional high-pressure sodium lamp, the power saving rate will exceed 60%, and the green lighting rate in Yinchuan will increase from the current 55% to over 80%.

According to the Yinchuan City Street Light Management Office, the implementation of the project will comprehensively improve the road lighting level in Yinchuan City. It will not only provide a better visual environment for citizens to travel at night but also provide a good shooting environment for the monitoring facilities of public security organs and other departments.
