LED T8 tube lights do not require the use of either a ballast (optional) or starter, allowing you to save even more energy and ensuring longer lifespan. Installation is simple but does require some basic wiring knowledge – if you do not feel comfortable undergoing such work please do call an electrician. Simply disconnect or bypass the ballast during installation to install our LED replacements. We have a video explaining the procedure shown below.

Simply disconnect or bypass the ballast during installation to install our LED replacements.
– Electronic:

You should not use an LED tube with an electronic ballast. Remove or bypass the electronic ballast BEFORE installation, to avoid damage to the LED tube. The preheat / starter lamp should be removed when used with an LED tube.
– Magnetic:

For a single tube, the magnetic ballasts do not need to be removed. If the installation has multiple tubes, then the ballast must be removed. For maximum energy saving, it is recommended to always remove the ballast. The preheat / starter lamp should be removed when used with an LED tube.
