Chengdu Dujiangyan City launches urban landscape lighting improvement project

In order to coordinate the improvement of urban quality and major festivals and events such as the 2025 Chengdu World Heritage Marathon and the Qingming Water Release Festival, the Street Light Management Center of the Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau of Chengdu Dujiangyan City has recently carried out a concentrated urban landscape lighting system upgrade. By repairing the river lighting facilities and optimizing the lighting environment of the main roads and back streets and alleys, efforts are made to create a safe and beautiful night landscape, so that the city’s “appearance” and people’s livelihood are improved simultaneously.

Chengdu Dujiangyan City launches urban landscape lighting improvement project

On the morning of March 18, the reporter came to the ancient city area. Both sides of Xingfu Road and South Street were busy. Construction workers are carrying out fine painting and maintenance of street lights along the street. So far, the beautification work of 30 street lights has been completed in this section, and the gray and faded lamp poles are covered with a brand new coat, which complements the style of the ancient city.

At the same time, the night view improvement project of the Water Culture Square has also been fully completed. The original 32 projection lamps were replaced with high-brightness, wide-coverage projection lamps. Citizen Shi Dalin praised: “The square is an important area for the elderly to exercise and for tourists to gather. Now the lights are brighter, and everyone can travel conveniently and safely!”

As a city landmark, the “Blue Tears” river landscape has also ushered in a quality upgrade. In the upper section of Nanqiao Neijiang, the staff has completed the replacement of more than 350 landscape lamp spotlights and repaired more than 270, and beautified and painted more than 1,500 meters of shading boards along the line to further enhance the light and shadow effects.

Xiao Qianjiu, a staff member of the Maintenance Section of the Street Light Management Center of the Dujiangyan Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau, introduced that this renovation focuses on detail optimization to ensure that the night view of the river retains a romantic atmosphere while the light distribution is more uniform and the visual experience is more comfortable.

Back streets and alleys say goodbye to “blind lighting spots”

During the interview, the reporter learned that in response to the problem of “there are lights but no lights, and there are roads without lights” that citizens are concerned about, the Street Light Management Center of the Municipal Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau has also recently simultaneously promoted the “add lights and supplement lights” action. At the intersection of Rainbow Avenue and Xuefu Road, 2 columns and 12 middle pole lamps were added, and 3 columns of LED street lamps were installed in the lower section of Baitiao Hebei Road, greatly improving the lighting coverage of back streets and alleys.

In addition, a total of 190 lamp poles have been beautified on Wenhui Road, Juqing Line and other sections. The warm yellow lights set off the neat streets, weaving a safe road network for night returnees.

“The lighting project is not only the ‘face’ of the city, but also the ‘inside’ of people’s livelihood.” In the interview, the relevant person in charge of the Dujiangyan Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau said that the next step will be to continue to check the weak lighting areas, dynamically optimize the layout of facilities, and use intelligent and refined management and maintenance to help improve the city’s image, so that citizens and tourists can share the happy picture of the city.
