Recently, in order to facilitate villagers’ travel at night and in foggy weather and reduce safety hazards, the Dahu Town Assistance Team took advantage of the group unit and donated nearly 200,000 yuan to install 184 solar street lights in Shanjiao Village, the center of Dahu Town, including 180 street lights in the lanes and 4 large street lights in the square in front of the village. In addition, the assistance team used special funds to install 42 column solar street lights for the village’s ring road and the square in front of the village, so that the village has now reached a 100% lighting coverage rate in the village. Installing solar street lights, filling the gaps in road lighting, and promoting rural lighting projects not only enhances the safety factor of night travel on village roads, but also provides convenience for villagers, allowing villagers to feel safe, harmonious, warm and bright at night. Now when you walk into Shanjiao Village at night, brand new street lights are installed beside the village roads and lanes. As night falls, bright lights shine down, illuminating the doorsteps of the people and their hearts. Villagers have said that since the street lights were installed in the village, it has been much more convenient to go out at night.
In the early stage of the town-based assistance, the Dahu Town Assistance Team actively promoted the “lighting project” in cooperation with the local authorities, using special assistance funds to install 109 solar street lights and 18 Chinese lanterns on the road sections from Xinzhi Village to Huzai Village, from Shanjiao Village to Honghai Bay, and from the town government to Mazu Square. Up to now, the assistance team has installed 353 street lights in villages and sections of the town through the special assistance funds for town-based assistance and the self-raised funds of the group assistance units, providing strong support and guarantee for the main roads and village lighting in Dahu Town, effectively facilitating the travel of villagers and striving to eliminate safety hazards.
Next, the Dahu Town Assistance Team will continue to implement the requirements of rural revitalization and uphold the original mission of town-based assistance. By focusing on “small incisions” to address “big people’s livelihood,” the team will effectively carry out projects that benefit the people, warm their hearts, and align with their aspirations. These efforts will infuse new meaning, inject fresh vitality, and add vibrant colors to rural revitalization, making the lives of the people more fulfilling and their happiness more vivid.
