Kathmandu Metropolitan Municipality in Nepal is replacing thousands of solar street lights with electric ones, marking the start of an important project. This project is a collaboration between the Metropolitan Municipality and the Nepal Electricity Authority to improve the efficiency and reliability of street lights.
While solar lights offer energy-saving advantages, their limited light and battery life present challenges. With an investment of Rs 110 million, the Metropolitan City is working hard to upgrade the city’s lighting system to provide citizens with a safer and more reliable lighting environment.
