In order to better care for retired cadres and create a safer and more comfortable activity environment for retired cadres, the Heilongjiang Provincial Veteran Cadre Activity Center in Harbin recently upgraded the lighting system of the tennis hall. On January 8, the Activities Department took the lead and together with the General Affairs Department organized representatives from construction manufacturers, supervision companies and some veteran comrades to participate in the completion acceptance meeting of the tennis hall lighting system upgrade and renovation project.
It is understood that the lighting system of the tennis hall has been in continuous use for 18 years since it was put into use in 2005. The wiring and lamps are seriously aging, and there are safety hazards such as lamps falling off and lamp body leakage. The original lighting system of the tennis hall is a metal halide lamp, which is a high gas discharge lamp. Although it has the characteristics of small luminous volume, concentrated light, long irradiation distance, and strong penetration, it also has many shortcomings, such as high power and high consumption. High electricity, loud noise, high ultraviolet content, short service life, poor light color, uneven illumination, high heat generation, etc., especially the loud noise, have had a certain impact on the normal activities of veteran comrades.
In order to fundamentally prevent risks, eliminate safety hazards, save energy and reduce emissions, and protect the health of veteran comrades, the activity center publicly invited bids for the tennis hall lighting system upgrade and renovation project through the government procurement website. After professional review, it was finally determined that a professional construction company and supervision company would undertake the renovation task. The project will commence construction on December 25, 2023, and will be completed on January 7, 2024. The project content mainly includes dismantling the original metal halide lamps, installing new LED lamps, modifying the circuit and control system, and improving lighting efficiency and safety.
At the acceptance meeting, Comrade Li Jiguang from the General Affairs Office first tested the circuit load of the lighting system, and the test results were in compliance with the standards. Then the tubewell electronic equipment was handed over, the manufacturer’s engineers demonstrated the operation of the lighting system equipment, and the veteran comrade representatives experienced tennis. At the acceptance site, based on the veteran comrades’ suggestions, the manufacturer’s engineers adjusted the angles of the lighting system lamps to meet the veteran comrades’ daily movement requirements. After on-site inspection and testing, the acceptance team unanimously believed that the tennis hall lighting system upgrade and renovation project complied with the design requirements and construction specifications, achieved the expected results, and agreed to pass the acceptance inspection.
