Sports facilities in Chengbei Park in Nanchong, Sichuan Province are fully lit

At about 7 p.m. on September 10, the reporter saw that citizens came to Chengbei Park in Nanchong City, Sichuan Province to play basketball, run or exercise with fitness equipment.

At 7:30 p.m., the four high-pole lights in the park were lit on time. When the lights are on, the basketball court, football field, track and field, and badminton courts have a very ideal lighting effect in the night. Citizens no longer need to “find in the dark” when they go out at night, and security guards no longer need to use flashlights when patrolling.

When the reporter interviewed earlier, only a few people in the basketball court were practicing shooting under the lighting of mobile phones. This time, two teams are playing freely on the court.

“Chengbei Park started to light up the lights on the evening of September 9.” A citizen who played basketball told reporters that in order to avoid the high temperature, everyone could only come to play basketball in the evening and leave after dark. After learning that the park was lit up, they made an appointment to play basketball in the park at night.

The reporter noticed that, except for the basketball court, football field, track and field, and badminton court, other areas of the park, including the children’s playground, are not lit yet, making it inconvenient for night tours.

At around 9 p.m., the security guards reminded the citizens to leave the park in time through the loudspeaker. At 9 p.m., all four high pole lights were turned off.

Zeng Huilin, deputy director of the Shunqing District Park Affairs Center, introduced that some areas of Chengbei Park have been opened. For areas that have not yet been opened, the center is urging the construction party to install the relevant supporting facilities as soon as possible so that the park can be fully opened as soon as possible. By then, the park’s night lighting facilities will be turned on for a long time to fully guarantee citizens’ nighttime park tours.

“At present, the basketball court, football field, and badminton court are all open to the public free of charge.” Zeng Huilin reminded citizens that before the park’s night lighting facilities are fully turned on, please do not go to the insufficiently lit areas to avoid safety accidents. During the visit, please cooperate with the management of the Park Affairs Center and leave the park in time before the lights are turned off.
