166 street lamps in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province have been upgraded and renewed

Recently, on the side of Gangcheng Avenue, construction workers are using cranes to hoist the assembled street lamps to the street lamp base to complete the installation and fixation. Zhuang Wanyuan, a clerk at the Municipal Service Center, said that the newly installed street lamps are multi-pole integrated street lamps, which integrate traffic lights, lane signs, monitoring and other poles onto the street lamp poles, reduce repeated poles, greatly improve the beauty and cleanliness of the road, and at the same time, realize resource "sharing, intensive, and coordinated".

As a main road in Zhangjiagang City, Gangcheng Avenue used to have problems such as insufficient lighting brightness and street trees blocking street lamps. This renovation has increased illumination from multiple angles by adding middle pole lamps at intersections, lengthening the cantilever of street lamps, and adopting special light distribution. Not only that, the new LED lamps have an energy-saving effect of 50% compared with the previous high-pressure sodium lamps.

"During the construction process, we simultaneously installed intelligent single-lamp control terminals, which can control terminal nodes through the system platform to realize the opening, closing, dimming, fault alarm and video monitoring of the street lamps on Gangcheng Avenue, and "seamlessly" access to the smart urban management platform." Zhuang Wanyuan introduced. It is reported that the street lamp renovation project along Gangcheng Avenue is expected to be completed on November 25.

Last year, Zhangjiagang City Urban Management Bureau built the city's first multi-pole integrated road on Bailu Road. By replacing 79 LED lamps on Bailu Road, the street lamps, signal lights, monitoring and sign poles of the entire road section were integrated into 33 smart integrated poles, providing convenience for surrounding residents to travel at night. The project also successfully won the "Excellent Road Lighting Award" at the 12th Aladdin Magic Lamp Award.
