17 Street Lights Illuminate Extended Section of Yinhe East Road in Helan County, Yinchuan

Recently, Helan County in Yinchuan City launched a streetlight installation project along the Yinhe East Road section from Yinxing Drainage Ditch to Helan County Maternal and Child Health Hospital-one of the county’s 2025 key livelihood initiatives. The project will significantly enhance travel safety for residents of nearby communities such as Bishui Yuntian, Xianghe Jiayuan, and Helan County Seventh Primary School, reflecting the county’s commitment to improving public welfare and creating a livable environment.

At the construction site, workers methodically installed light poles with machinery. Amid the hum of equipment, each pole was steadily erected. The 500-meter extension of Yinhe East Road will be equipped with 17 new municipal streetlights. Progress has been smooth: all lamp base installations were completed by late March, with pole erection and ancillary work now underway.

*"We’ve finished installing 17 pre-embedded lamp bases, excavating 500+ meters of trenches, laying conduits and cables, crafting cable terminals, and backfilling,"* said Qin Jiamin, a staff member from Helan County’s Public Utilities Office under the Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau. "Next, we’ll proceed with wiring, pole hoisting, and power connection as scheduled, aiming for completion by April 15 and illumination around April 20."

This urban-rural road lighting initiative underscores Helan County’s responsiveness to public needs. Moving forward, the county will continue investing in infrastructure to elevate public services and foster a higher quality of living for residents.
