235 new solar street lights installed in Guixu Town, Yunfu, Yunan County, Guangdong
It is reported that Guixu Town has made full use of the rural revitalization and livelihood funds supported by Yuanzhu Mining Area, and invested 698,800 yuan in street light installation projects. The project covers an area from Gangluo Village Committee to Wutan Village Committee, with a total length of about 8 kilometers. A total of 235 solar street lights have been installed. Brand-new solar street lights are erected beside the main road. A solar photovoltaic panel is installed above each white lamp post. Solar street lights have good stability, long life, energy saving and environmental protection, high luminous efficiency, and high safety performance, providing light for vehicles traveling at night.
As a must-go road to and from the county, the traffic volume is relatively dense. Trade and economic exchanges and people's travel all rely on this road to connect, and the overall road environment is good. The only shortcoming is the lack of street lights. When night comes, the road is dark. When it rains, the vision is even more blurred, which seriously affects the safety of people's night travel. This is also one of the key issues that the people are anxious about.
In order to meet the needs of the masses, improve the overall living environment of the masses and ensure the safety of their travel, the Party Committee and the Town Government of Guixu Town attach great importance to it. On the one hand, they actively communicate and coordinate with higher-level departments, conduct multiple surveys on the location, foundation, and spacing of solar street lights, draw on the experience of other street light installations, plan the selection of road sections and locations for street lights, and implement street light installation matters; on the other hand, they widely solicit public opinions on the installation of street lights to ensure the economy and practicality of installing solar street lights, and finally formulate an installation plan. Now at night, 235 solar street lights escort the safety of the masses to and from work.
