400 smart street lamps in Tianfu New District, Meishan, Sichuan were completed and put into use

Recently, 400 smart street lamps on Zhongjian Avenue, Shigao Street, Tianfu New District, Meishan, Sichuan Province have been completed and put into use.

Unlike traditional street lamps, smart street lamps will be equipped with traffic management, electronic eye and other facilities on the light pole, and also integrate 5G micro base stations, environmental monitoring, video monitoring, LED display, one-key alarm and other city management functions. "Pole multi-use" can enhance the level of urban intensive and efficient management, and is an important carrier for the construction of smart cities in the new district.

This year, Meishan Tianfu New District will lay out more than 4,500 smart street lamps in Shigao District and Qinglong District, all of which will be completed and put into use within the year. In the next 5 years, Tianshan New District of Meishan will also build or renovate 64,000 smart street lights to achieve full coverage of the new district. The density of 5G base stations is three times that of 4G. With the help of dense 5G signals, Meishan Tianfu New District will carry out plans such as the construction of connected vehicles to make autonomous driving and smart transportation possible.

In addition, the new district will use the smart street lighting project as an incision to create smart bus stations and smart city homes, to realize the new district's intelligent infrastructure, convenient public services, and refined social governance, contributing to the accelerated promotion of the Meishan digital economy and the new national infrastructure power.
