8,107 street lamps in Jintan District, Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, are collectively renewed
Recently, the reporter learned from the Jintan District Housing and Construction Bureau that the main road street lamps in the district have implemented lighting energy-saving transformation, and 8,107 street lamps on 22 roads in the district have completed "upgrades".
With the continuous advancement of Jintan's urban construction, the number of street lamps has continued to increase, and the problems of high energy consumption and high maintenance costs of traditional street lamps have become increasingly prominent. In order to achieve energy conservation and emission reduction of street lamps and develop urban green lighting, the Municipal Center of the Jintan District Housing and Construction Bureau continues to promote green lighting transformation, replacing the original high-pressure sodium lamps with low illumination, high energy consumption and poor environmental performance on some roads in Jintan with soft and bright LED lamps.
LED lamps have the advantages of energy saving, environmental protection, reliability and durability, which can greatly save energy consumption while improving the road lighting effect. Li Dongcheng, deputy chief of the lighting section of the municipal center of the Jintan District Housing and Construction Bureau, said that the luminous efficiency of LED lamps can reach 140 lumens/watt, while ordinary street lamps only have 100 lumens/watt; the service life of LED lamps is 50,000 hours, while ordinary street lamps only have 8,000 hours. The new LED light source not only improves the quality of urban lighting, but also reduces electricity consumption and achieves green lighting.
So far, Jintan District has completed the green lighting transformation of many roads such as Nanhuan 2nd Road, Jinyang Road, and Zhibie Highway, and replaced 8,107 sets of LED lamps. After the replacement is completed, it is expected that the overall power saving rate will reach about 50%, and the illumination will be increased by at least 10%.
