Chongqing Changshou No. 1 Middle School completed the LED lighting renovation of the teaching building

"The lights in the school corridors are too dark, and I have to go downstairs in the dark to study at night." On September 7, a third-year student in the No. 1 Middle School in Changshou District, Chongqing reported that the lights on each floor of the second teaching building were not bright, posing a safety hazard.

"Not only are the lights in the corridors not bright, but there are no switch buttons. It is impossible to see the way with the classroom lights alone. Corridors and stairwells are often dark at night, and there are safety issues such as stepping on the air, colliding, and tripping." Students It is hoped that at least 2 additional lights will be installed in the corridors and stairwells of the teaching building.

As assigned by the Chongqing “Internet + Inspection” platform, the Changshou District Education Committee conducted an investigation into relevant issues. After investigation, the corridors on each floor of the Second Teaching Building of Changshou No. 1 Middle School were equipped with voice-activated lights. The wattage of the bulbs was only 25W. There was indeed insufficient light brightness and some bulbs were damaged. The Education Committee of Changshou District instructed Changshou No. 1 Middle School to strengthen the investigation of potential safety hazards on campus and complete the rectification of lighting problems in the corridors of the teaching building as soon as possible.

Subsequently, Changshou No. 1 Middle School used the weekend to re-lay the lighting circuits in the second teaching building and replace the lighting bulbs. As of September 11, the school has replaced the voice-activated lights on each floor of the teaching building with LED lights that can be turned on and off. The lighting brightness of each LED light is equivalent to the 60W brightness of an ordinary light bulb. The campus lighting environment has been improved.
