Classification methods of LED products

  LED products can be divided in many different kinds. Let us simply look at the classification methods. According to different standards of classifications, LED light can be divided according to the light color emitted, light tube features, light tube structure, luminous intensity, operating current, the chip material, function and other standards. The following will give a brief outline of the six classification methods.

  1, according to the light color emitted from the tube, it can be divided into red, orange, green (subdivided into yellow, standard green and pure green), blue and so on. Furthermore, some light emitting diodes comprises two or three kinds of colors of chips. The operating current of general LED is a few dozen mA, while the low-current LED current is 2mA or less (the same brightness and ordinary luminous tube).

  5:  Divided according to the power: low-power LED (0.04-0.08W), medium power LED (0.1-0.5W) and high power LED (1-500W). With the continuous development of technology, LED power becomes bigger and bigger.

  6: Divided according to the package: one is the SMD (SMT) and the other is DIP (DIP).
