Cree announced recall 189,000 LED lamps
August 25, 2016, Cree officially announced the recall of 189,000 North American market LED T8 lamp, the product code is "BT848 series of lights." The recalled lamps may overheat and melt, there is the risk of burns. These lamps mainly used for indoor lighting to replace the traditional two-pin T8 fluorescent tubes.
Currently, Cree has received the lamp 12 reports of overheating risk. Fortunately, no injuries. It is understood that the recalled LED T8 tube manufacturer is in China and the United States.
