Overpasses and pedestrian bridges in various towns and streets have undergone lighting upgrades, with dynamic light strips wrapping around the bridge structures, creating a dazzling spectacle at night. To thoroughly implement the municipal party committee's urban development strategy of "intelligent creation of superior products and harmonious and livable environment," the Municipal Urban Management Bureau, based on refined urban governance and using extensive research as a starting point, focused on upgrading the quality of nightscapes in commercial districts. A series of precise measures were introduced to comprehensively improve the quality of nightscape lighting, making the city's nightscape more refined, the living environment more livable, and the night economy more vibrant, painting a new picture of urban development characterized by "beautiful nightscapes, a vibrant economy, and happy citizens."

The beauty of urban nightscapes lies not only in the dazzling prosperity of commercial districts but also in the brightly lit streets and alleys. Today, walking through the streets and alleys of Dongguan, along its main and secondary roads, one is greeted by bright, soft lighting that illuminates the roads. Previously poorly lit areas have been completely transformed, significantly improving the safety and comfort of nighttime travel.
Since the beginning of this year, Dongguan has been continuously promoting the upgrading of functional lighting, focusing on "increasing the number of lights, supplementing brightness, and improving quality." The plan includes adding or upgrading no fewer than 10,000 streetlights and comprehensively investigating and rectifying dark areas in the city's lighting. The goal is to transform main and secondary roads, back streets and alleys, squares and parks, and pedestrian walkways from dark to bright, and from bright to excellent, using warm lights to illuminate the paths of citizens and making the city's nightscape both beautiful and welcoming.
