Donghuan elevated road replaced with LED street lights

The inner ring elevated is the main trunk road in Suzhou. Lighting on both sides is also an important guarantee for the safe passage of vehicles. Starting from yesterday, the Suzhou City Lighting Management Office will initiate Suzhou Donghuan elevated LED road lighting  upgrading and reconstruction project.

Up to now, the Donghuan elevated road lighting has been operating for more than a decade. Currently, the lamps used are traditional high-pressure sodium lamps, and their lighting quality is greatly reduced when they are put into use. The high-power LED lamps on the replacement have passed the tests, and have reached the requirements of the expressway. The lamp is superior to the previous high-pressure sodium lamp lamps in terms of stability and lighting comfort, saving about 30% in electricity consumption, and extending the service life by about 1 time. 

The first-stage construction of the elevated road section is the East Ring Expressway (Xiangyang Bridge-Southeast Ring Interchange). By then, the road lighting quality of the elevated road section will be significantly improved. In order to ease the traffic pressure on the East Ring Expressway (Xiangyang Bridge-Southeast Ring Interchange) and minimize the inconvenience of people's travel, the City Lighting Department will take the wrong peak construction and the construction time will be arranged from 22:00 to 02:00 in the morning and during the construction period. When closing a lane, citizens who are traveling during this period should slow down when passing through the road and pay attention to safety.

After the completion of the first phase, the City Lighting Department will continue to upgrade the LED road lighting of the elevated roads in the urban districts including the Ring Road official interchange, the Southeast East Interchange and East Interchange.
