Guangxi Liuzhou Street Light Upgrade

It is reported that the Chinese lanterns around Chang'an Square in Rong'an County were put into use in early 2010. Due to the long service life and long-term exposure to the sun and rain, the street light pole brackets in this section of the road have cracked and decayed in many places. In order to ensure the safety of citizens' travel, eliminate the safety hazards of street lights, and ensure the safe operation of street light facilities, the Rong'an County Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau officially launched the Rong'an County Smart City Street Light Renovation Project in late August 2024.

As of September 23, the technical staff of the Rong'an County Street Light Management Station have dismantled all the Chinese lanterns around Chang'an Square in the county seat, and uniformly replaced the original 10-meter Chinese lanterns with 12-meter double-arm street lights. A total of 50 new street lamps were installed in this street lamp upgrade and renovation. LED lamps with softer light, more uniform brightness, lower energy consumption and longer life were selected, which completely solved the problems of high failure rate, long operation time, insufficient light efficiency and high energy consumption of the old lamps.

The purpose of implementing the smart city street lamp renovation project in Rong'an County is to replace street lamps and build a smart city lighting monitoring integrated management system to solve the problems of centralized control and intelligent management of urban street lamps, meet the needs of energy conservation and emission reduction, green lighting and safe travel, and continuously improve the quality of life of citizens. The 12-meter double-arm street lamp used in this upgrade and renovation incorporates the Rong'an kumquat element in appearance, which not only highlights the reputation of Rong'an County as a citrus town, but also adds distinctive scenery to the city, and provides strong protection for citizens' night travel.
