Hangzhou will upgrade the lighting of Zhonghe Interchange and Shide Interchange

The overpass, which is busy during the day and colorful at night, is an important part of the city's infrastructure and a distinctive business card for the city's image.

This year, in order to improve the night view of the city's elevated roads and enhance the quality of the city's night view, the Hangzhou Urban Management Department will upgrade the lighting of Zhonghe Interchange and Shide Interchange, put on beautiful "new clothes" for the bridges, and create a city night view with a clear theme, warm and elegant according to the city's characteristics and cultural characteristics of Hangzhou.

Zhonghe Interchange, built in 1989, is one of the earliest interchanges built in Hangzhou. The lighting renovation scope of Zhonghe Interchange is about 770 meters in length from east to west and about 500 meters in length from north to south, including motor vehicle lanes, non-motor vehicle lanes and sidewalks.

The lighting color is mainly warm white light, and the warm light is used to illuminate the bridge body with unclear outlines, so that the upper and lower levels of the overpass are distinguished. The lighting is integrated with the color of the surrounding buildings, making the area more holistic and layered. The side lights of the bridge use a slow breathing rhythm lighting effect to enrich the fun of the night view. The soft light color avoids light pollution caused by excessive glare, and will not cause traffic interference to pedestrians and vehicles.

The original sidewalk and non-motorized vehicle lanes were relatively dark and unfavorable for night traffic, which will also be improved. By installing lamps under the guardrail and on the belly of the bridge, the insufficient functional lighting of the pedestrian overpass is supplemented, making the originally dark road bright and warm, convenient for citizens to go on the bridge, and making the road a unique and different scenery at night.

Shide Interchange was built in 2005 and is located at the intersection of Shiqiao Road and Desheng Road in Hangzhou. It is a large interchange, one of the interchanges with the largest traffic volume in Hangzhou, and an important transportation hub in the city.

This lighting renovation will use soft warm light tones to create a warm and elegant light environment for residents to travel and rest at night. The lighting is based on the principle of not using any dynamic effects and not interfering with the driver's driving to reflect the light effect, avoiding the use of high-brightness, high-glare decorative lamps to affect drivers and distract their attention to cause safety hazards.

The lighting effect adopts a simple bridge belly wall washing lighting method, and the light is concentrated on the bottom plate of the bridge body, achieving an elegant light effect of "seeing light but not seeing the light". At the same time, it can also reflect the layering and volume of the Shide Interchange, fully displaying and enhancing the night landscape and visual effects of the urban expressway.

The night view is bright, and the city is "beautiful". It is reported that the lighting renovation project of the two overpasses is expected to be completed before the end of this year. By then, the renovated overpass will better play the role of a transportation hub and serve the citizens who travel.
