Huimin Streetlights Warm the Hearts of the People in Yalongjiang Town, Muli County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province
In recent years, Muli Tibetan Autonomous County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, has adhered to the overarching goal of "thriving industries, livable ecology, civilized rural customs, effective governance, and prosperous lives." Focusing on public concerns, it has coordinated the advancement of a series of projects, including road hardening, drinking water safety, and power grid upgrades. These initiatives leverage "small, practical projects" to impact "big things" in the lives of the people, and, with practical livelihoods as the foundation, unlock the infinite possibilities of rural revitalization.

As night falls, brand new solar streetlights light up one after another along the main roads and alleys of Nibo Village, Yalongjiang Town, Muli County. Their soft glow dispels the darkness of the mountain village and illuminates the villagers' way home. Recently, with the completion of the installation and commissioning of the last batch of streetlights, Nibo Village has achieved full street lighting coverage. This "lighting project" not only brightens the village nights but also warms the hearts of the villagers.
Nibo Village, located in the heart of the Yalong River Grand Canyon, previously suffered from poor infrastructure and inadequate nighttime lighting, plunging the village into complete darkness at night and posing a constant safety hazard.
Reporters learned that the Panzhihua aid team, in conjunction with the town government, conducted on-site surveys and precisely placed 250 streetlights in the most urgent areas: 200 streetlights in the Nibo and Daping groups cover 180 households, ensuring a 100-step streetlight on the three-kilometer village road; 50 streetlights in the Jiyi group illuminate 29 households, and even six households living alone in the mountains and fire checkpoints have been equipped with dedicated streetlights. The streetlights utilize intelligent light-control technology, automatically storing energy during the day and illuminating instantly at night. This is both energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, as well as efficient and convenient.
"It's so convenient for us to visit relatives or help out at night; we don't even need a flashlight," said villager Lu Yun, smiling, pointing to the streetlights at his doorstep.
Huang Baoqing, Party Secretary of Nibo Village, explained to reporters that each streetlight embodies the villagers' wisdom, from site selection to foundation pouring. The piles were driven 60 centimeters underground and reinforced with concrete. In addition to the main roads and village paths, every household has a streetlight, and villagers can freely choose to place it at their doorstep or in the center of their courtyard.
Nibo Village Party Secretary Huang Baoqing said, "Our Nibo Village streetlights are now fully installed, including in a group high up in the mountains. They're brightly lit everywhere we go."
The implementation of the streetlights not only ensures the safety of villagers traveling at night but has also quietly transformed the village's daily life. "The residents are very happy. Many are rushing to the opposite side of the village to take photos of the night view and post them on TikTok and WeChat Moments," said Huang Baoqing, Party Secretary of Nibo Village.
The lights reflect our original aspirations, and the brightness warms the hearts of the people. When every ray of sunlight collected by the photovoltaic panels is transformed into warmth that illuminates the way home; when smart street lights are integrated with the wisdom of the villagers, the night sky of Nibo Village becomes a vivid footnote to rural revitalization - the dots of light illuminate the warmth of people's livelihood and light up the hope of development.
