IEC released the new international standard stage lighting

IEC 60598-2-17: 2017 specifies the requirements for stage, television, cinematographic and photographic studio luminaires, including spotlights and floodlights, for use outdoors and indoors, using electrical light sources at mains voltages up to 1000V.

The second edition abolished and replaced the first edition and the 1990 edition, published in 1984. This edition is a technical revision.

This edition contains the following major technical changes to the previous version:

A) The scope of application is from light source to electric light source, and "electric light source" is used instead of "tungsten wire, tube fluorescent lamp and other discharge lamps" in the range.

b) Considering the many special circumstances of many LED lamps, such as the light source can not be replaced, the light source does not have a glass bulb, or lower working temperature, the relevant provisions have been modified, the relevant provisions will only apply to the light source can be replaced lamps, glass bubbles Shell light source, or surface temperature lamps.

For video stage lighting that has been heavily used LED light source, the standard of the above changes means that the relaxation of LED lighting, LED lighting products are conducive to the stage of the development and application.
