Installation of 178 Solar Streetlights Completed in Dingzhou, Baoding, Hebei Province

Recently, Dongwanghao Village, Xizhong Town, Dingzhou City, Baoding, Hebei Province has finished upgrading all streetlights in the village, replacing 178 old lamps with new solar photovoltaic streetlights. Behind this improvement to people’s livelihood lies the active coordination and full efforts of the work team stationed in Dongwanghao Village by the Municipal Bureau of Data and Government Services.

Previously, due to long-term use, the original streetlights in the village suffered from common problems such as aging circuits, damaged lamp covers, and poor lighting. These issues not only caused inconvenience for villagers traveling at night but also hidden safety risks. During routine household visits, “non-functional streetlights” became one of the most frequently mentioned concerns raised by villagers.

To bring light back to the village as soon as possible, the work team acted quickly. It held several special meetings to discuss renovation plans, widely solicited opinions and suggestions from villagers, and repeatedly optimized construction details. Meanwhile, the team proactively coordinated resources from various parties and strove to secure funding. Thanks to persistent efforts, it successfully raised more than 70,000 yuan in special funds for the village-wide streetlight upgrade.

During the project, the work team coordinated construction arrangements and supervised project quality to ensure smooth implementation. Today, as night falls, the streetlights turn on automatically, casting soft and bright light over village roads and lanes. The upgrade has completely solved the problem of nighttime travel for villagers and also provided convenience for evening activities such as square dancing and cultural lectures.

“Nothing is trivial when it comes to the people’s interests; sincerity shows in every detail,” said Hao Wei, leader of the work team. He stated that the team will continue to focus on practical issues concerning villagers, earnestly carry out every livelihood project, and inject more warmth and strength into the rural revitalization of Dongwanghao Village, so that villagers enjoy a greater, more sustainable sense of gain, happiness, and security.
