Installation of lighting on Zhanqian West Road, Xinyu, Jiangxi

The Laodong Road overpass in Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province was built in the 1980s. Since the culvert on the West Road in front of the station under the bridge was not designed with sidewalks, non-motorized lanes, lighting and other facilities at that time, people and vehicles mixed in the culvert under the bridge during peak traffic hours, and the visibility of traffic at night was being unable to see the road clearly poses a huge traffic safety hazard.

Recently, the Xinyu Municipal Engineering Management Office has paid close attention to the concerns of citizens and proactively solved the long-standing and difficult problem of traffic safety hazards related to the culvert on Zhanqian West Road under the Labor Road overpass.

In order to completely solve this problem, the person in charge of the Xinyu Municipal Engineering Management Office visited the site many times for investigation, and held special discussions with the design department to determine the implementation plan.

Under the condition of ensuring that motor vehicle lanes can pass in a normal and orderly manner, pavement work will be carried out on the north and south sides of the culvert, and floodlights will be installed in the culvert to ensure night lighting.

During this renovation, a total of about 70 meters of permeable concrete sidewalks were paved on both sides, and about 80 square meters of permeable concrete was laid in the open space in the southeast corner of the hardened culvert. Two 100W floodlights were installed. After completion, the travel environment in this area was greatly improved.
