Japanese lighting factory released the first LED light bulbs that can illuminate even if the power is cut off

In recent years, with the introduction of the concept of the Internet of Things, many devices in our daily life have been titled "smart", such as smartphones, smart TVs, and smart light bulbs, etc. These smart products make our lives more convenient. The device we are going to talk about today does not have rich functions and cannot be used with mobile apps, but its existence is of great significance.

Japanese lighting factory released the first LED light bulbs that can illuminate even if the power is cut off

Previously, we have reported on some very innovative lamps, such as the cloud lamp like thunder and lightning, and the LED lamp with a lifespan of 37 years launched by Dyson, etc. Their introduction made us deeply appreciate the development of lamps. However, these lamps all have one feature in common, that is, they cannot be used in the event of a power outage. Of course, the current power supply network is very stable, and there are few cases of sudden power outages.

A question worth pondering is, in Japan and other areas with frequent natural disasters such as typhoons and earthquakes, how to use electric lamps for normal lighting without electricity? In fact, this is not impossible, just need to change a special light bulb.

Recently, a Japanese lighting manufacturer officially released an LED light bulb that is a little different from traditional light bulbs. It is said that it is the world's first light bulb that can function normally after a power outage.

The shape of this product is not much different from the traditional light bulb, and it can also be applied to the interface of each light bulb in the consumer's home. It is understood that this is an LED light bulb developed for areas where power outages occur from time to time, so that consumers can be in a state of lighting when a disaster occurs, and try to avoid some unnecessary damage.

This LED bulb can illuminate normally after a power outage, mainly because the designer has a 3.7V lithium battery with a capacity of 200mAh inside it. In the case of normal power supply, the light bulb will charge the battery. In the event of a power outage, the battery will become the only energy source to maintain the normal light of the LED light bulb, and the light bulb will also enter the emergency lighting mode.

The emergency lighting time can be maintained for about 3 to 6 hours, because this amazing LED bulb supports voltage from 100V to 240V, the brightness is 320 lumens at full brightness, and can be used continuously for 3 hours, and when the bulb is half bright, the use time can be extended to 6 hours, although the maintenance time is not particularly long, but it is especially important in the event of various disasters.

It is worth mentioning that the designer also adopted a retractable design for the handle position of this bulb, allowing consumers to remove the bulb when necessary and use it as a flashlight. At present, this light bulb that can still be used normally after a power outage has officially landed in the Japanese market. It costs 5,910 yen, or about 300 yuan, and comes with a one-year maintenance service.
