LED lighting exports should pay attention to changes in CE certification

The European Commission noted that sales of LED lamps and similar products in Europe must be affixed with ce certification labels (subject to low voltage directive 2006/95 / ec and EMC Directive 2004/108 / ec). And the recent request has changed. The European Union Official Gazette (ojeu) released the latest Low Voltage Directive (lvd) 2014/35 / eu on March 29, 2014, which will replace the original Low Voltage Directive 2006/95 / ec.

The new low voltage directive will take effect on April 19, 2016 in the national legislation of the Member State, and replace the old low voltage directive 2006/95 / ec on 20 April 2016 without transition.

The new directive 2014/35 / eu compared the original order 2006/95 / ec mainly updated the following:

1. Directive uses the new legislative framework (nfl) (ec) 765/2008 (accreditation activities and market supervision) and 768/2008 / ec (general framework for the sale of products), clarifying the manufacturer, authorized representatives, importers and distributors Business (collectively referred to as the economic operator);

3. In order to facilitate the exchange of information between consumers, market bureaus and economic operators, the new directive encourages economic operators to provide a network address in addition to the mailing address;

4. It is clear that the conformity assessment is primarily carried out by the manufacturer and that the conformity assessment process is not required by the agency;

5. It is expressly provided that the technical documentation should contain adequate risk analysis and assessment;

6. provides a detailed market supervision, hazardous electrical products and after the protection process;

7. The name, registered trade name and registered trademark and address of the manufacturer and importer must appear on the equipment and may appear in the packaging or user's manual when the equipment size or the nature of the equipment is not allowed;

8. The new directive stipulates that manufacturers and importers should take corrective action to correct nonconformities when the ce mark, ce declaration of conformity, technical documentation or manufacturer's information are not met. Otherwise, the relevant Member States will take measures to restrict or prohibit the sale of products in the market and ensure that the products have been recalled from the market;

9. Member States are required to establish penal rules applicable to the laws of each Member State in violation of the Directive, including criminal penalties for serious breaches.

EU countries, LED lighting manufacturers need to pay attention to, since April 19, 2016, LED lamps and similar electrical products sold in Europe ce certification label must comply with the new low voltage instruction 2014/35 / eu.
