LED lighting helps Malaysian state government agencies collaborate to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 600,000 tons per year

As the core green technology supplier of the "Energy Saving Plan", Huineng Group aims to install about 6 million LED lamps in 6,000 housing estates in Selangor under the condition of signing energy management contracts. Huineng Group has patented LED lamps. It has a 10-year service life and saves 50% of energy compared to traditional LED lights on the market, which can reduce the cost of replacement products to fully realize energy savings.

"We provide state-of-the-art, durable and sustainable LED lighting solutions. During the energy management contract period, the 'Energy Saving Plan' is estimated to achieve an annual saving of MYR448 million (equivalent to approximately HK$840 million), saving approximately 867 million kWh of electricity is equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by more than 600,000 tons per year, which means that more than 10 million trees have been planted every year in the past ten years.” said Mr. Huang Wenhui, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Group.

In addition, the Group cooperated with iCleanic Limited(4) to implement the "Coronavirus Anti-epidemic Plan" in 6,000 housing estates in Selangor. Headquartered in Hong Kong, iCleanic provides disinfection solutions to kill the new coronavirus. The effectiveness of its disinfection solutions has been tested by international professional organizations, including CMA testing(5) for eliminating airborne bacteria and the University of British Columbia for eliminating COVID-19. The plan focuses on improving air quality handling and the risk of Covid-19 transmission in Selangor by reducing airborne bacteria. The efficacy and safety of the program are in line with CMA Testing (5) and are suitable for people of all ages.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations expects Selangor to become a livable smart city by 2025. The Group's goal is to participate in the Malaysia Green Initiative to promote green development and strive to make Selangor a smarter, greener and safer city.
