LED lighting penetration rate increased

In the field of lighting, semiconductor lighting (LED) is a new type of green light source, featuring energy saving, environmental protection, long life and small size, and is widely used in various indications, displays, decorations, backlights, general lighting and Urban night scenes and other fields. At present, LED has become a cost-effective ecological light source, fully entering the lighting replacement market. Under the general trend of eliminating incandescent lamps and limiting the use of fluorescent lamps (including mercury) in the world, the global semiconductor lighting market has experienced explosive growth.

China is a big country in the lighting industry. In recent years, LED lighting has grown rapidly. In 2015, the scale of China's lighting industry was about 560 billion RMB, of which the LED lighting industry was about 155 billion RMB, with an annual growth rate of 32.5%. The proportion of LED lighting in the lighting industry was about 28%; the output of domestic LED lighting products was about 6 billion. The domestic sales volume is about 2.8 billion, and the domestic market penetration rate of LED lighting products (the domestic sales volume of LED lighting products/the total domestic sales volume of lighting products) is about 32%.

In 2016, the global accelerated elimination of incandescent lamps, LED has become the mainstream light source of lighting. China's domestic LED lighting products output of about 8 billion, an increase of 33%; domestic sales of about 3.8 billion, an increase of 35%. The penetration rate of LED lighting products in the domestic market reached 42%, an increase of 10 percentage points over 2015.

It is estimated that the number of LED lighting products in China will reach 9.6 billion in 2017, and the penetration rate of LED lighting products in the domestic market will reach 50%.
