Lighting project for the new village of Xingfu in Hele Township, Xuyong County, Luzhou, Sichuan
The village lighting project in Xingfu Village, Hele Township, Xuyong County, Luzhou, Sichuan Province, was fully operational during the Spring Festival. Rows of warm-toned lights meandered along the village buildings and walkways, creating a layered and vibrant effect. Affectionately known by villagers as "Hele's own Hongyadong," it became the most eye-catching sight in the Miao village during the Spring Festival.

Xingfu Village is a provincial-level model village for ethnic unity and progress, with a high proportion of Miao people and rich ethnic customs. This village lighting project focused on improving the living environment and developing nighttime cultural tourism, installing light strips along the outlines of houses, courtyards, walkways, and scenic spots, balancing aesthetics and practicality. As night falls, warm yellow and white lights intertwine, outlining the exquisite contours of the new Miao village. This creates a picturesque scene against the backdrop of green mountains, traditional houses, and a folk square, preserving the original charm of the Miao village while adding a dynamic aesthetic of modern lighting. Villagers and tourists alike flock to the village for evening strolls and photo opportunities.
"It used to be pitch black at night, but now it's bright and beautiful, like a scenic spot in the city!" villagers exclaimed. The lights not only beautify the village but also illuminate rural nightlife. Every weekend and festival, the village square is filled with the melodious sounds of lusheng (a traditional Miao reed pipe instrument) and lively singing and dancing. Under the lights, the Miao village appears even more vibrant and peaceful, adding a festive atmosphere to local intangible cultural heritage activities such as the Mountain Climbing Festival, and laying the foundation for developing rural tourism and boosting the sales of homestays and specialty agricultural products.
A relevant official from Hele Miao Township stated that the lighting project in Xingfu Village is an important measure for building a harmonious and beautiful countryside. The next step will be to continue to improve supporting facilities, deeply integrate the nighttime lighting with Miao culture, ecotourism, and folk experience, and create a new nighttime cultural and tourism landmark in the Miao Township of southern Sichuan, so that the lights can illuminate the path of ethnic unity and light up the bright future of rural revitalization and common prosperity.
