London LED lighting energy saving plan

Transport for London (TFL) announced that LED street lamp renovation projects in collaboration with the mayor of London office. Main street lamp modernization project is the largest single investment in the history of London, the project will achieve 40% energy saving.

Transport for London (TfL) has plans to implement a new energy-saving lamp project to reduce the Transport for London Road Network (TLRN) lighting costs as well as carbon dioxide emissions.

Transport for London street number is about 52,000 light, in order to support the Mayor's goal to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, TfL has plans to implement the energy conservation plan in the next three years.

By 2016, the plan aims to reduce about 9700 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions a year, about save 1.85 million pounds a year.The plan would also reduce more than 40% of the energy consumption.
