Natural light full-spectrum LED has become a new trend in lighting development

The spectrum of sunlight includes ultraviolet, visible and infrared spectrum curves, which can be called the full spectrum. Natural light full-spectrum LED light source refers to that the ratio of each wavelength band in the visible light part of the LED light source is similar to that of sunlight, and the color rendering index is close to 100. For traditional LED light sources, the main luminescence method is that the blue chip with a wavelength of about 450nm excites the phosphor to form white light, which will cause excessive blue light radiation, and lack some blue-green light and deep red light, especially some poor-quality light source products, which can easily lead to vision. Decline, cataracts, blindness, etc. Eye diseases of the same degree. Therefore, high-quality natural light-like full-spectrum LED light sources have become a new trend in the development of healthy and comfortable lighting.

Natural light full-spectrum LED has become a new trend in lighting development

The current LED full-spectrum light source mainly has two solutions. One is to excite the phosphor from the 450-460nm blue chip. By improving the phosphor to increase the color rendering index and light efficiency, the Ra can reach 97 or more, but it is still high. The intensity of the blue peak is just that the coverage band of the phosphor is wider than that of ordinary LEDs to increase Ra and R9. The continuity of the spectrum is not perfect, and there is a big difference between the intensity ratio of each band and solar energy. Therefore, the advantages of this solution for health lighting are not obvious. It is mainly used for commercial lighting, and its main advantage is high color rendering index.

Another solution is that the purple chip excites RGB multi-color phosphors to achieve continuous spectrum, instead of the lack of blue-green light and deep red light coverage like dual-color phosphors. The light source of this scheme is as close to the solar spectrum as possible, which not only achieves high reduction and high saturation, but also avoids the appearance of short-wave blue light. Although the light effect will be sacrificed, there is still room for improvement.
