The city of Concord in New Hampshire plans to install LED street lights to protect pedestrian eyes. The city chose the warm LED street light, that is, 3000K warm white LED instead of 4000K cold light.

The city aims to reduce the impact of light pollution, so that astronomers can observe the night sky objects, such as the Milky Way stars and planets.

LED lamp favored, because it is more energy efficient, longer life, but when the color temperature of 4000K, it will greatly affect our night vision.

Bright lights can illuminate the road, but will interfere with the night sky. Warm LED will not affect the night sky.
