New Taipei Three Gorges Old Street fully replaces LED lighting

The Urban and Rural Bureau completed the restoration of Sanxia Old Street in 2007. The District Office pointed out that the lamps were mostly traditional bulbs at that time, and some of the lamps outside were brittle due to the sun and rain. The frequency of repairs is 1 to 2 times a year, but after the lines buried in the brick wall are damaged, the bulbs often trip or even fail to light up after repairing.

In order to improve the lighting system of the old street, since the middle of last year, the district office invited various units to discuss solutions, and finally adopted the suggestion of Huang Zongxiang, the chief of the Three Gorges, to retain the original historical lighting, but replace the bulbs with LEDs.

The entire improvement project cost about 3.01 million yuan. The district office raised 1.43 million yuan by itself, and the other 1.58 million yuan was obtained by councilor Jiang Yizhen for the city government's proposal. The project was completed in June, with a total repair length of 375 meters.

According to the district office, a total of 936 lamps were replaced in the three-month project, including the old street archway lamps, sign lamps, wall lamps, arched cup lamps, ceiling lamps, power circuits and switch box arrangements, and the lines were all open lines. , to facilitate future maintenance. The district office estimates that the completed lighting system can improve the nighttime lighting, circuit and line obstacles of the old street. In addition to easier maintenance, it can also ensure the safety of people and vehicles passing by.
