  "Washington Times" reported on the 7th, Philips Lighting North America plans to expand its branch located in Tupelo, Mississippi City lighting factory, and increased 50 posts in the original 450 employees basis.

  The company on Thursday announced that it will invest $ 2 million expansion of its plant in Tupelo LED lamps. After completion of the expansion of the plant will be used in San Jose, California, Philips developed the LED technology for production.

  Person in charge of Philips Lighting Americas Iain Logan, said the plant produced lamps can react automatically according to the surrounding environment.

  Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) to provide federal community development grants $ 1 million renovation project for the plant. MDA spokesman Tammy Craft said the local government did not provide funding based views expansion incentives.
